Simplifying film development, Cinestill DF96 is a single-bath, auto-complete chemistry for use with almost all types of black and white film. Instead of traditional multi-bath processes, with separate developer and fixer chemistries, DF96 is a one-step, all-in-one solution to fully process film in approximately three minutes. DF96 also requires no dilution and is reusable to develop at least 16 rolls of film per liter of chemistry.

As a developer, it produces a smooth grain structure and tonal curve. DF96 does not require a stop bath or posterior fixative; its own repair capabilities generate complete file results and longer overall processing times will not affect development. Beyond the ease of a single bath design, DF96 should also be used at room temperature (70-80°F) with development times ranging from six to three minutes to obtain normal results with most films.

Push and pull is possible by adjusting the temperature. Additionally, tabular grain films (such as T-Max and Delta) are also supported, although they require twice as long processing to remove film stain during fixation.

This powder monobath contains enough chemical to produce 1 liter of working solution and, once mixed, has a shelf life of approximately two months.
